“Everlasting You And Me"
 

My boyfriend and I met online in 2019. During the pandemic, we all returned to our cities, and we only caught up rarely because of the distance between us over these tough two years. We didn't even travel or return to Canada simultaneously. In 2021, he graduated from Carleton University and decided to stay in China. To save more money, I purchased a ticket to return to Canada alone.

I am emotional; I rent a suite that is close to school and just myself. Sometimes, I essentially isolated myself from society. I want to stay at home rather than hang out with my friends because I do not want to go to a place full of memories that we used to go to.

I recall thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere in Byward Market before the pandemic. We used to go to a bar and share our joys. Today, it is only I who is suffering from the temporary separation in this location.
